Welcome to Stemmings
I couldn’t be happier to welcome you to Stemmings, a publication where thoughtful discourse is the rule, not the exception. With Stemmings, we’ve thrown the handbook out the door, not only with our design, but also with how, and where, our content comes from. Let me explain:
Over the past few weeks we’ve been working tirelessly to bring together an ever-growing team of movers and shakers in the technology & design industry including not only designers and developers behind some of your favorite apps, but also founders, bloggers, and journalists (and we’re still looking for more). Each columnist will release a single essay a month ––so approximately thirty columnists each month, ideally. The result is a wide array of opinions, ideals, and visions from more than just a group of bloggers with questionable credentials. It’s quality content from people you (should) care about and we’re really excited to be bringing it to you.
Our lovely site is powered by WordPress and our gorgeous new theme was handmade by the fabulous team of Galen Gidman and Shaun Moynihan from Elastik. Fonts and (retina-ready!) icons are being delivered by TypeKit and Pictos respectively. Our hosting is with the magical folks over at Media Temple and our ads are being delivered by Fusion. On the social side of things, be sure to follow us on Twitter and stay up to date and subscribe to our RSS feed.
Currently we are wrapping up a few last details and expect daily essays to launch soon.
